THE FIRST STEP
First we need to determine where your site will rank by running a series of in depth Search Engine analytical reports as mentioned before. The analytical report is essential to begin the SEO process. Without a precise understanding of what your market competition is doing online and a strategy to get your site among the same listings, you are literally stabbing in the dark. The analytical report queries the databases of the major search engine to retrieve specific data and activity related to your exact industry. The report will analyze the market activity and score your site based on site content, source code, keyword density, Meta tags, social networks, inbound and outbound links, page layout and more. Once we have determined what needs to be done, we can start the optimization work focusing on the specific items necessary to make your site “search engine friendly”. This first step in the process is called on site optimization. This is a very important part of the process for obtaining top search results on Google, Yahoo and MSN.
THE SECOND STEP
We took a look at the first part of the process for achieving strong results in the search engines but this is not nearly as important as the second part of the process. The search engines rank web sites based on how important they view your site to be relevant to your keywords. This involves creating and using specific anchor text (links that point to your site using your keywords) and getting others to link to you. The more sites that have good PR (page rank) and relevant content to your site the stronger relevancy your site will have to the search engines. There are many steps involved in doing this and every site has requires it’s own unique approach to gain strong organic listings. This process includes directory submissions, writing articles, submitting articles, link exchanges, automated scripts, content feeds from your site. This process is called off site optimization and it is critical to the success of strong organic Search Engine listings. Sounds pretty easy right! Wrong… The problem is that everyone who has a web site wants it to have strong results and the search engines are aware of this. Many people try to cheat or manipulate the Search Engine scoring markers. Search Engine algorithms are extremely advanced and designed to prevent any short cuts. There is a reason Search Engines like Google are among the largest companies in the world. It’s because they ensure the integrity of their search results to be spot on! Effective SEO includes consistent monitoring and making flexible changes necessary to retain top organic listings.
THE THIRD STEP
The third step involves SEO maintenance to your web site. We track the progress of your site and make needed adjustments along the way. Once your web site gains first page listings, it will not continue to stay there without ongoing optimization. SEO is an in depth process that is designed to specifically draw quality traffic to your web site. There is no doubt that a first page ranking on the top three search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN) is a powerful marketing tool that can mean significant leads to your site. SEO does not automatically convert Internet consumers to customers or sales, that part is up to you. But in today’s market SEO has become an essential part of doing business or promoting online. |
